Teaches expressions that go with moods
Pick a mood or emotion by name from a drop-down list, and Gaining Face will
illustrate the accompanying expression and show a textual description of its
principal features and distinguishing characteristics. Then pick any part of
the expression, and Gaining Face will explain that particular
element of the expression clearly and in detail.
Teaches moods that go with expressions
Pick an expression from a graphical menu of faces, and Gaining Face will
tell you the mood or emotion that it represents and explain in detail how to
recognize it.
Compares different expressions
Pick any two moods from a pair of drop-down lists, and Gaining Face will
illustrate both of them side-by-side and explain their differences and
similarities. Then pick any part of these expressions, and Gaining
Face will explain that particular part of the two expressions, emphasizing
both recognition cues and their similarities and differences.
Proficiency quiz
Gaining Face can deliver a twenty-question quiz testing your skill at recognizing
and distinguishing various facial expressions. Quiz questions are presented in
several different problem-solving formats and Gaining Face composes each new
quiz from scratch - it'll most likely never repeat a quiz exactly.
You can choose to be shown the correct answer after replying
to each quiz question, and also to print each question (along with both the answer
given and the correct answer). Quiz questions are printed with all graphics
intact. (Of course, you must have a suitable printer to do this.)
